Q: What’s a School Counselor?

The School Counseling Program is a unique program built to reflect the needs of students, parents, and staff at Villa. I am Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology. I specialize in working with kids and teens, along with their families, to promote successful relationships, overcome challenges, and to succeed in accomplishing goals.

Q: How is the School Counselor involved with the Villa community?

In many different ways!

  • Students
    • In the classroom during lessons
    • Small groups of students with similar needs and experiences
    • Individually for support, assistance, and problem-solving

    • Collaboration meetings with teachers and students
    • Parent workshops, events, book clubs

Q: When are you on campus?

I am on campus during regularly scheduled school days. I join grade levels for camps, field trips, or other off-site adventures on occasion, as well.

Q: How do I reach you?

If you are a student, parent, or teacher and would like to set up time to meet with me, email me at or call me at (206) 729-0219, x249. If you’re experiencing a situation that can’t wait until I’m on campus next, you can contact Mrs. Elsner, Mr. Joseph, or Mr. Milroy. If there is a clinical emergency, you can contact the 24-Hour Crisis Line at (206) 461-3222.
